A GPS wouldn't be a good investment if it meant that I was reading a slower, but more accurate, speed. But the main point of my post is that to get a bigger boat going faster you are going to need a whole lot more engine.

I have M1 procharged on stock 330 454 with no proplems, I think its a matter on how you drive your boat. I had Nickersons performance do my carb. Told me I need to get rid of the stock heads before I lose a valve. It went 66 stock and 74 on the prochager. I chanaged heads and my bottom end looked great put did a total rebuilt with je pistons, bigger cam ect ect. Best speed last season was 83.6 gps on 28 labbed prop at 6000 rpms.

We have a 208 inlander and have hyd steering on the boat. I have tried 32 bravo one this year best I turn was 68gps at 4000rpm. My intercooler had a hole and found a cut in the boost gauge. Yesterday I tried to see if I could turn the 32 when my buddy took off but the wife wouldn't let me. Yes it chime walks but on the right day you can steer thru it. Back to the forum. I have a stock Bravo 1 and never had proplem ,procharger hit the drive on in the upper rpms. i would say Whpple is a great blower put they hit the drive a lot better in lower rpms put again harder on the drive.

I'm new here also. I bought a 320es this summer with two gen v 7.4 and prochargers. the engines were freshened and have ten hour on them since the prochargers were installed . I don't trust the stock internals with the blowers. I'm hoping to get a couple years out of them, in the mean time I'll be looking for a pair of blocks to build some real power. I haven't even put it in the water season is over for now. looking forward to putting it in next year. Prop calculators say I should see 72 with 28 pitch. Engines say they have a rev limit of 4600. Anyone know how fast I can spin them w/o tearing them up?

I agree with buying a better engine.... However, I am currently running 26' with 7.4 mpi bone stock with m1-sc bought off e-bay. Used to run 55mph with 24p bravo at 4500 rpm, now does 67mph (on hand held GPS) with bravo 26 at 4400 and quite honestly I have not taken the time to tune it properly (waiting for the rebuild)
My point is that I went for the quick cheap HP and now have nearly 90 supercharged hours on a seven year old engine that is smooth and reliable... I don't spend all day in the boost end of the rpm, but its there when I wanna pass someone.
** All things considered I would not have chosen this route if I had not gotten a screaming deal on the procharger. I don't think you can sell the 7.4 for much and in Arizona (I'm located in Mesa) You'll have to be damn lucky to find a turnkey 502 or 496 for $7k unless it's shady..
