Default whats happening?

Hey guys

been out for awhile. Still boatless, but have been busy with school and flying airplanes. man those are as addicting as boats.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi.

Sweet !!! How long and how much money would I have to spend before I could fly that plane solo??

I was just thinking the other day about maybe changing hobbies. It would be cool to fly all over the place, seeing alot of the United states that you would never see otherwise.

Its not cheap. The way i did it was buy a cessna 172 cheap. got my license with it then got rid of it and bought this one. insurance is about like cats when you do a big upgrade. this is a 6 seater 300hp (which is like 600hp in a boat)

8-10k would get you enough training to fly it solo.

maintanence and annuals (and gas) are another thing. i look back and my 36 was cheap.

we planned a trip for next week. departing austin and going to elephant butte new mexico. there is striper fishing there. pretty cool to fly in to a small town (where commercial service isnt available) spend a couple of days and fly home when you want.

It flies about 165mph and will truely haul six adults.

Jason,
When you get back from N.M. please let me know what you think of the lake. We are thinking about going there to do a poker run next year. Hope you have good luck fishing!!!!
Thanks,
Jay
