Default Cleanest 272 Around

Guys,

You don't know me, I am new to the board, but want to share this with you. A good friend was shopping for a 272 and found one of the cleanest used boats I have ever seen. I went with him to look at it and it was nicer than the dealer said. My friend wants the boat, but cannot get approved on credit so he is going to have to pass.

I just wanted to share this because the boat is 110%. There is not one scratch on it with over $10,000 in added options including a very custom stereo system.

If you know anyone looking for a 272 tell them about this one.

Great Board
Roger

Hey Roger "BucketHead",

First off that is a very unusual name "BucketHead". I am also from Arkansas and use to have a buddy that called guys that all the time.

The weird thing is I go to the link you have listed and that is my old 272! Thank you for the nice compliments on the boat. I am already missing it. It is a very good deal for someone. I had almost $80,000 in it.

The dealer told me he had a very interested buyer out of Raleigh, but I did not know anyone came to look at it from Arkansas. I was born in Hot Springs, what town do you live in?

Guys you are right, the boat does not run 70, but will do an honest 65on GPS. My wife and I usually had it loaded down with gear and a full tank of gas and it still would do 64 on GPS. The bad thing is the speedo is right on, so you could not lie to your friends.

definitely a nice looking boat, although the price is a little steep...

daze - you are right - 70 mph is a fantasy with a stock 502 in that boat! more like 64 - 66....

great boat just needs MORE POWER! (don't they all)

Boss,

This is a very small world. This is why I am glad to have found this web site. I think this it pretty cool.

I live in Hot Springs now and moved here from Russellville. We boat here on Hamilton and Quachita. We like it here, especially the lakes and horse races.

The guy that came to see your boat from Raleigh, NC is my buddy. I went to college with him and we stay in close touch with each other. I was out visiting him and we drove his new Vette down to see the boat a couple of Saturdays ago.

He had been looking for several months, ever since I bought my Baja and everything he has seen was USED. You know, had the wear marks on the hull and interior. This is the only boat he has found that nice. I don't know how you got any hours on it and was able to keep it so clean. If he had not just bought that new Vette I know he would have the boat now. He called me last night and was sick about it.

There is a post about the price, but I can tell you that you get what you pay for. There are some boats out there that sound nice and the price seems like a deal, but when you go see them you always see why they are so cheap. I don't know what the dealer allowed you on trade, but you must have wanted to go to a bigger boat pretty bad to get rid of that one.

Where do you boat at? Ever get back this way?

Check your e-mail.
Roger

Roger,

I have not seen an e-mail, please try to send it again.

Thanks again for the compliments on the boat. The dealer is getting a lot of inquires on it. I was talking to him yesterday about our new boat order and he has three different people coming this week to see the 272. He said the boattraderonline is generating calls from three states away. When you have a dealer say that he never gets them this clean, you know it is nice.

We made it back for the horse races last season, but this year we are going up to the Kentucky Derby. My ex-father-in-law was a jockey, turn agent and my sister-in-law married a jockey. I hung around Oaklawn for years and really enjoyed the sport. I have had dinner at the old Holiday Inn on the lake with D. Wayne Lucus and Pat Day in the mid seventies when they were just making a name for themselves.

Thank care
Mark

SOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the 272 has a new owner. The second guy to look at it wrote a check in full !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already miss that boat. It not only looked sharp, but never let us down.

Maybe I can quit worry about having to sell it and start getting excited about the new 36 Outlaw that's on order.

Yeah, it is a great day to be alive.
