I think alot depends on location. I have no use for an islander on Lake Erie, since we always overnight. But, I have met people that are totally opposite and like an open bow for the extra room for their friends.

There was constantly a 277 coming down the line. They couldnt build them fast enough.

That is totally due to the design team, who times was ready to kill each other, and of course the Project Manager

The biggest issue with the 277 was the cockpit step. We all know that is truely why Baja went under.
