HOOKIE from work today and the wife and I logged 250 miles on the Harley in the beautiful North Carolina mountains.
It was 86 degrees and not a cloud in the sky and I could not stand it.
What a beautiful day to ride and after we got up on the Blue Ridge Parkway we soon found that a lot of bikers had the same idea today.

Man yesterday was gorgeous. So was the Tuesday.
I played hookie as well and put the jetboat in the water to take advantage of the glass-like fall conditions on LKN during the week.
Was having a blast until I realized I noticed the big oil leak that developed! Had to put it back on the trailer last night and back in the garage to see whats up.
I'd be out there again today but work is piling up.

What kind of Jet Boat are you running?
I had a Taylor back in the 70's with a 460 Ford.

Some guy was building them in the 90's under the name Condor.
Mine is a 1998, had it since new.
Been a great boat but my azz dictates that I can only use it on LKN in the fall or during the week.
It's big for a jetboat but still needs smooth water to not beat yourself to death.
What model Taylor did you have? SS, SJ, LP?
sorry for the thread detour.

I thought you may have been refering to the "Dragon"!
We have not done that yet and of course when you're riding a Harley touring bike it is not the best road. I have three guys working for me with C-Rockets and they love it. Actually there is a road just over the Tennessee line on the north side that they say is even better.

This one is from the old taylor molds. It is the equivalent of the Taylor LP.

Go to this link and you will see one for sale that was very similiar to the one I owned. I do not recall the actual model but it did have a full back seat and the seat was totally enclosed. Mine was silver in color.

Are you going to be on the water this Saturday weather permitting? I plan to ride on the fun run with the boys from Checkmate.

Nice, yes I think that is a Taylor SJ, great looking hull.
Yeah, we're planning on the run. Looks like the weather will reach mid-60s.
Hope to see you there!
