Doc
I have my intercooler pickups in the same spot you do. You need to trim them up a little shorter. They appear to be to low which will cause drag and too much pressure. Mine are about 1/4 at the back and flush at the front. Remember as the water comes off the back of the boat, it curves upward and kinda rams it in. That is why those pickups need to be shortened. I can measure exact if you need it. I would start there. Let me know, Smitty |

Alright I just got off the phone with Brett at BBlades and gave him an order for a new pair of labbed props.
I have heard many good things about Brett and I can believe they are all true. He really knows props and he really understands Baja's and what they need to work. With the base line numbers I have on the new stock 32 pitch props he agrees that the 32 is where I need to stay. With labbing, extra 100 to 200 RPM and cup work he is confdent that his props will put me at 91 to 93 MPH. He also shared some trim technics to share which should help as well. I just wish I had called him sooner as the turn around time right now is 3 weeks. I'll keep you posted. |

Lake Norman 73 Degrees, Partly Cloudly, 10-15 MPH Wind Well the wife finally got to ride in the NEW Dock Holiday. We have been extremely busy putting a poker run together for the local HOG Chapter and it was a huge success yesterday so we decided to make a trip to the lake today and just relax. Sorry that we did not call anyone but it was only a three hour total round trip from the house to the lake and back home. I wanted to run the boat and I really wanted Tommie to ride in it. She wanted a nice quite lunch for just the two of us and all went very well. The boat ran perfectly and the smile on her face as it accellerated from 75 to 85 is priceless. We never ran it WOT and are looking forward to receiving the new props from BBlades. |
