Doc, That boat just keeps getting badder. When are you going to have Clayton give it that total custom look? My work is starting to pick up. When I get out of the woods Clayton is my first stop.

Attn Dave & Adam

I have a message for you from Blane Aarup.

Forget the Baja rule of using a maximum of only one inch of tape per fitting!

We pulled the sand strainers off completely and checked them over 100%. Then we greased all the o-rings and the bottom and top rubber seal on the filters. Then we covered all the threads heavy with tape and ran the boat.

Not the smallest leak anywhere. The bilge was DRY!

I'm going to send you guys some tape for Christmas!

Doc
Is Blane still working, or is he hanging-out at your place collecting unemployment checks????

If you remember correctly....it just "killed" Adam that we did not get to water test the boat and fine tune everything, but someone was trying to out-run a snowstorm on the way.

We will use the tape on the next job, since yours is now fixed. LOL

Thanks

I am really getting excited about being back on the water this year with all the power. Everyone that sees the boat is amazed at the rigging Dave, Adam & Doug did. Just a couple of other small details and we will be ready to just enjoy. Hopefully the new props will be here next week and once I see that "90 MPH" mark I can relax and say "Mission Accomplished"!

As for the paint job that is one reason I have not posted the renderings. We still hope to do it but this economy is simply not working with us. Clayton is painting one of his first Sunsations right now and the quality of the work he does is nice. As a matter of fact take a look at the bike I am putting together right now. This started as a Harley factory pearl white paint set and Clayton added PPG "Oh-So-Orange" and trimmed it in silver and put the shadows in. I just took these pictures about an hour ago and there was five people in the shop when I got there that are blown away with the paint work. I gave two of them Clayton's phone number.

I know buddy. He emails about everyweek and even offers to come down if I need him. With all you guys did it is amazing that we have nothing to deal with except a few water leaks. And they were an easy fix.

No Worries buddy

Lesson learned I'll stay and party next time until the snow ends!

Dock, when we are fitting pipe in the landfill or plumbing up anything. Our motto on pipe tape, cleaner, acetone & glue is "Use it like someone else is payin for it". We also say "if a little do a little good, a lotta do a lotta good".

Doc,

Wait until you seen Adam's new shop here in Bucyrus. I will let him post all the details when he is ready for business, but it will be first class all the way. He will specialize in rigging, and stereo installations as always. We will concentrate on the interiors, and Kevin Brown will still do the fiberglass repairs.

When we did your 36ol, Adam had to take many jobs home to be machined, and we did not always have the tools we needed. That is about to change very soon.

You gotta be one of da smartist fellows I know.

Well said and VERY true.

Blane and I were busting Dave on the tape because we have nothing else to bust him on. They did a hell of a job.

Dave,

I'm very excited for you guys. Adam has told me just enough to make be wonder what is going on. Now I have a pretty clear picture. That is awesome and I know you guys will be very successful at it.

Doc,

I went ahead and got plane tickets for the Ft Myers/Key West trip next month. When I got to the part about renting a car, I had to laugh thinking about the few times I rode with Blaine in a rental and the stories about him in rentals!

The bike looks awesome! Id like to stop down and check on the Sunsation but I'll admit Im a little scared of going down there!

Greg,

Glad to hear it buddy. That will be a great trip!

Hey I have never riden with Blane in a car before except when I was driving, but I would be a little concerned with a guy that carries his own race suit and helment with him everywhere he goes!
