Only the strong will survive, the rest will most likely be swallowed up.

Wish I could get ahold of a few spacific molds.... I think it would be fun, certainly not profitable, but fun...
Nordic is building boats.

Both custom setups and production boats.

A buddy of mine just picked up his 28ft Heat with a 700sci.
They just sold a new 29 with a 600sci.
Another buddy of mine just had a custom 27ft Thor cat built.

Tim at Oregon Custom Marine has sold several production boats in the last few months. Some off his showroom, and some out of the factory in Havasu.

Although there is no link in the current official page of Baja Marine, for any of the Baja's below, the pages and their respective links are still active. Enjoy........

I talked with Wyatt Fountain yesterday. They are still building boats special order. There are a few Fountains coming down the line a couple Baja's as well.

As Bajaolic stated not many builders are building. Even the mass producers are slow at best.

The Sun sport series is gone. The 40 T/S is still a work in progress, as of now the 35 is the largest current model.

Sales are slow and banks are making it hard on the dealer side as well as the retail side!

Someone want to buy some of my inventory I will re-stock with 2010 Baja by Fountains!

Thanks Brett, I was hoping you would chime in here. It was mostly out of curiosity because it doesnt effect me either way. It just seemed to be the hot topic a year ago and now we hear nothing.

Any news on the 40 Outlaw or new projects?

I think you will see the NEW 42 out of Bucyrus before you see the 40 Outlaw by Fountain.

I agree, my first boat, of which is my current boat, is a 20 Outlaw. I am more then pleased with the boat, and when the time comes, I will upgrade to a 25 or 26. I'm definitely going to stay with the Baja family because for the price, looks, power and overall satisfaction, you can't beat em. I get comments everywhere I go on the boat. I just hope Fountain keeps that tradition with Baja.

Our first Baja was also a 20' Outlaw
I drove all the way to OK for it smiled all the way back to Milwaukee!
(That was our second boat right after a 21' 460 BBF Jet Boat.)

Now we're in a 208 Islander and have loved both of them.

Unfortunately now that Fountain bought them the smallest open bow they make is the rather big 24' which is almost too big for the boating we do.
I actually may be looking at a Nordic when we move into a newer boat.
