Default H2x-23 Ol-25 Ol

I know i have had a lot of questions lately... sorry for that, bare with me.

Anyone with hands on experience, compare these three boats? I just assume you are all going to say the 25OL, because its a 25.

Will the 23OL be a much better ride than the H2X? Which one really has more room?

I ask because I was thinking of uping my budget some and can look at 2000 H2X's, 2003 OL's and 2000- 2001 25 OL's

I was thinking of getting the 23 because it was the newest. But wondered how it was going to handle compared to the H2X and such. If you guys think these shouldn't even be compared with the 25 OL, then throw it out of the discussion.

I will be boating on a lake. i will sleep on it some, in early spring and late fall. Probably lots of running up and down the lake.

23OL had liner issues I it's a bad boat, but I know of 3. Not saying it's a bad boat, but I'd be looking for a 25 in your price range if those are the 3 your considering. Better ride.

H2X or 25OL Both are great, equal power a H2X will be faster, 25OL will ride much better. Between the two go with the 25 OL. 25OL has drop down bolsters, bigger cabin, higher freeboard and just all around great boat for the money. Once you go with Bolster seats you never want to go back, kind of like once you go Twins you never want to go back to a single, you just hope your income keeps up with your wants.

I'd go with the 25', for sure. If you think you might be satisfied with the 23' you'll be sick of it in a year. Go with the 25' and TRY to keep it for 2-3 seasons before you want a 29-30 with twins!

I have seat time in all three. The 23 rides a hair better than the H2X but not much. The 23 has more room between the rear bench and bolsters than the 25 but a much smaller cabin. The 25 has the H2X and 23 both beat hands down in ride especially when the going gets rough.

If you are going to sleep on the boat then the 25 Outlaw still wins. In order to have enough room to lie down in the 23 you have to have the filler cushions to the door. The 25 has plenty of room for sleeping and still has the benches you could sleep a child on if you wanted.

If you can find a 25 in your price range, that is the boat to have of the three. I wish I had purchased my 25 Outlaw instead of my 245.

I knew the 25 was going to win going away. I had just thought power options and years might play a part.

I can't fine a 25 with a 496HO in my price range, but there is a 23 with a 496...which with it being a shorter boat.. I thought might make it faster than a 25 with a 496 or 454.

I've seen 99/2000 for low 20's with 454Mag or 502 in them. What is your price range? Where are you looking?
