Well, first it never did run good. It was dock candy at a couple poker runs. Next, it was a piece of sh*t because it was rushed to get built. That hull was built shortly after I hired in. I was real excited about the boat, and spent a few weeks sitting on top of it by myself working on the bottom wondering why no one else was working on it. (My supervisor rarely told me what to do, so I worked on what I wanted to). Finally, one day they pushed it out to another building and it sat for close to a year. Then, all of a sudden it had to be built immediately. Ask Kustom Kolors, he knows the story. They had people down there working on the cuddy while they were painting it!

Jason,

The notched transom was designed by B. Regan and never made any sense. It was narrow and long, too narrow for even staggers! I would have rather it had the rub-rail also.

How fast did it run?? When you said it never ran good, are you referring to handling or the speed?

I remember hearing it wasn't even an 85mph boat. No clue on how it handled, but I'm sure it was a pig all the way around.

I think 86 downhill with the wind behind it was the best ever recorded? I could only get 82-83 on a hot day in Florida. Made allot of noise, and the six drives always throw a nice rooster, but it just wouldn't go.

Never ran good, as in not dependable.

It was running mid 86 range when it was down at Mercurys X-Site in Panama City. We ran out of gas one day in it out in the gulf, I thought I was gonna dehydrate out there! They sent one of their test drivers out to get us with a bright yellow Velocity. We're in the middle of nowhere, and he flys right by us like he didnt notice a 40 Outlaw sitting there. A little while later he came back.

The next time I drove it was after the dealer meeting later that year. I was taking it to the ramp and decided to see what it had. It was struggling to hit 80 that day so I gave up before something bad happened (since I was supposed to be idling over to the ramp!)

That thing was loud though, I loved firing those engines up.

That' too bad because I really liked that boat. Did it have the 850's in it back then like it does now?? What would you suggest to help make it go??
