We painted that boat in 13 days. I lived at the shop at that time literally.lol There was a crew working inside as we were painting it.

I rode in it over on the Mississippi after Hawkeye's
poker run.

Jay Presswood myself and 4 others in the boat,
85 going down river, 79 coming back up, and
it seemed to porpose badly.

It did have 89.3 stored in the smartcraft memory though
.......that could have been Jason leaving the key on and
pulling it down the road that fast too

Lucky 7's...that was a fun ride though

Actually it was a used Smartcraft unit we bought from the guys at Bayliner racing. They forgot to clear the history.

The things you find out after the fact...lol.

Those guys from the Bayliner Offshore Racing Team do have some nice hardware!
I hear they have a set of fresh sidemount 2.3L Whipples for sale along with 65lb injectors.

And more often than not, the ones who ran the company into the ground are the ones that walk away with the "Golden Parachute" [6 figure pension, severance package, existing contract paid out, etc, etc, etc, etc] While the poor SOB's who worked there a$$ off to try and make something good get kicked to the curb with nothing but a handshake a half hearted [at best] "Sorry, it didn't work out"

I HIGHLY doubt Baja's last CEO is struggling to find work and/or sweating mortgage payments.

Well, enough of my rant! LOL

The Boat: Looks killer, and is at a marina about an hour from my cottage, sounds killer too, but, when you look at the facts, your paying 200K for an 80mph boat? Thats a PILE of cash to drop on a custon, one off boat, especially one that could [nearly] get smoked by a 5K Jet Ski! NOT that I would have ANY problem owning it, it just seems like a pile of cash for something that doesn't work right, or perform up to expectations, sounds like the boat was a reflection of the boats Management?????
