We decided to go with the Dana tips. Our mechanic will be ordering them and installing them. If all goes well, they should be installed in the next two weeks. I report back with the results.

I have a stock 1999 454mag, with silent choice. but i dont think it has mufflers.

496 HO's with stock Corsa tips.

how you know if you have a muffler or if its going to change it much?

Mine has the full pipe (big hole )and you can see the butter fly flappes on the inside.

the picture below has the same outer flaps, but the picture where the flap is open, it has has a smaller hole, mine does NOT look like that.



i need to know if the dana tips posted would make a difference?

I should be able to let you know this week. The new tips should be installed this week.

I had the Corsa mufflers on my 496 HO like in the picture above post # 17 and I removed them and put the slash cut tips on with the internal flapper. Let me tell you it is much louder....sounds throatier as well.
If loud is what you want you will get it.
