From: Insuring any kind of boat
Okay, since you want to get personal, here goes.
I have communicated with you twice about boat insurance. The first time, I couldn't get YOU to return my emails. Finally got you by phone. After claiming you could beat everyone's price, you couldn't come close to the deal I had with Erie.
The second time, you quoted me, you were actually close to Erie in price, but with a lay-up. When you finally disclosed that the underwriter was Modern, I questioned you about Paison's problem with them.
You're response was that everybody has problems from time to time, and you were sure that it wasn't a problem with Modern, because you had never had any problems. I did not receive an indication of why Paison was having a problem with them, which is really what I was looking for.
IMO, if you are basing YOUR reputation on Modern's history, YOU have a problem. And, if you don't want to be questioned about it, don't come on these forums claiming to be god's gift to boat insurance.
I was not going “personal” with you.. I had a simple and respectful request that you stop saying that we were the AGENT on Mike’s claim with American Modern. I am not going to continue going back and forth with you. You first request to our agency dates back to 2007 at which time we didn’t even represent American Modern. Anyways, if there is something personal you would like to say to me or ask me, then please call or email. I will be more than happy to chat with you.
I was very respectful of you and would expect to be treated in the same way. You contacted me in 2007. If you were unable to reach me or I was slow to respond, I am sorry, I was a one woman show then and sometimes got back logged… could happen to anyone. I’ve worked very hard over the past 3 years to ensure that we are very responsive and believe that 99% of the time we are. No one is perfect. Again, I am sorry if we couldn’t help you with your insurance.
As an agent I can only give advice based on MY client’s experiences with an insurance carrier. My response to you (according to our E&O logs) was that “Everyone's claim situation is unique and that I don’t know what happened on his claim but that my client’s claims have all been settled satisfactorily and have gotten positive feedback.”
The bottom line is: I was not the agent on Mike’s claim, you stated I was which was incorrect information. I was simply asking that you be courteous and only post factual posts since the initial was incorrect. I am sorry if you took my reponse/request to you as a personal attack, it was not intended to be that. I’m done with this conversation as it is going nowhere positive.

Thank you for clarifying for EVERYONE here that WAKE ZONE wasn't the broker for your policy. Because we weren't. Every claim that our clients have filed with American Modern has been paid out and settled fairly. I'm sorry that your claim did not work out the same way.
I sure hope that the agent/broker you chose to work with is going to bat for you on the claim

Nope they aren't they are letting us deal with AM ourselves and AM basically said "FU, it isn't covered" I spent my life savings on this boat, insured it like I was supposed to and then had it all flushed due to AM. I tried to actually save the boat by driving it back to shore, next time I won't I'll let it sink and they can figure out what to do with it at the bottom of the ocean!
