These are the strakes at the very back. There is NO way they are out of the water. This is also were my water pick-up is (got tired or sucking sand via the drive) so I know there is water. Mine has a pretty big hook I have thought about getting shaved. Has anyone had regrets from this "blue printing" process? i.e. squirrelly handling or anything?

Not sure about your boat but mine are. I have a 236 with 22deg hull, you can feel it free up if I play around in the mid 60's range.
I will go out out and take some measurements then we can compare the numbers and see if they are in the same place.

Ok, to answer this question, the inner strakes on the 236 are cut back 5' from the back. The wedges (hooks) start about 24" from the keel and taper up to the outer strake. I doubt at speeds above mid 60's that these are even in the water.
This is suppose to be in responce to "knockld"s question. I am curious if other boats may have them in a differenct location. Also the weight of the boat may have a effect on lift. I am not a expert on this maybe somone else could help out here.
