Having owned a 245 I would agree with the above. That boat will sell much quicker with mild or stock power.
With a stock 496 it will appeal to a much larger group of possible buyers. Sell your upgraded power and drive on its own. You may find that someone might trade a stock power package towards your upgraded motor. |
How about a 496 mag with dana headers in front of a bravo one drive 100 hrs
|
The only why I think you could sell it to with the current set-up is to someone who knows you and the boat. But when it comes to strangers like everyone is saying it may be difficult. More importantly when it comes to extras and options you are lucky to get pennies on the dollar if anything at all.
I am sure these are not the replies you wanted... but I think everyone is being honest with you. Good luck!!! |
Insurance for the new buyer may also be a problem. Most people looking at a boat that size are not typically your experienced boater. Trying to insure an upper 80's boat of that size is not going to be an easy task for a new boater.
