Ok so I am sensing that about 25,000 is what I should offer after reading everything. Thanks for all the input. If you have any other suggestions for me as far as buying a boat, I am all ears. Thanks again.

Just make sure you water test anything before you buy it.

Here's a good way to look at the cost of boating.....

The more you use it the cheaper it is per hour of enjoyment.

Pay $500 per month in boating expenses and use it once, That's a high price per hour of use. Use it 20 times that month and you can justify this little addiction we all have. :coolcowboy:

Now to get more specific.

Jack the boat off the trailer and look for blisters where the boat sits on the trailer.

Baja fixed mine under warranty as I was the original owner.... obviously not an option anymore.

Also,,, take a wrench to the lag bolt that bolt the motor mount to the stringer and make sure its tight,,, that area wasnt sealed and I have seen a few rot right there,,,, that boat with a 502 probably should have had race mounts or at least standard mounts bolted to a through bolted L bracket .

I would make your starting point less than that....say $20K. You can always go up from there. And like everyone has said, it is all based on a good survey.

For what it's worth, I paid $32K for my '04 25 OL 496HO and had 54 Hrs on it...and that was last year.
