LOL....thats what I'm confused about. I thought your original question was whether the boat was priced to sell quick at $55K......my answer is yes....if it is in good condition. Not sure why the ACV started coming into play.

me too...

I thought you were saying that there were 33s for that price..... I'm not sure how this post switched from 33 to 25s but hey who cares.... it's the off season we need something to talk about.

The cheapest 33 on boat trader is $42,995 for a 1998. Id say your price is a good starting point. You know they are going to beat you down no matter what you list it at, might as well start somewhere.

I have a good friend of mine trying to buy it. I would like to see him get it just to have another boat to run with. But if he does not get it I will list it.

I noticed it says 36 Spectre under your name. Did you just recently get it? I dont think I noticed that before. I meant to ask earlier if you were going bigger (than the 33) or just getting out of it for awhile.

Ok, then if I'm liberal with the numbers for arguments sake, lets say that the asking price is 39,925 and the final agreed upon RETAIL price is 35,000.

Wholesale on the boat would be $24,500

ACV would be $17,000. And I would fig that with a trailer and the boat was "all there". AND thats ins spring. I'm knocking off another G b/c it's december. So I'm at 16,000 ACV

If you can buy 25OL's in mint condition for 16,000 I'm going and getting my dealers license. Let me know the auction your buying at and I'll fly there with checkbook in hand and buy everyone that goes through.

The 33 is not a personal boat. I found the boat at a really good price and I’m wanting to sell it..

I sold my 36 outlaw to go cat, I bought my spectre about 4 mts ago. I like it for now.

Just got the info from the auction. The other day, a 2003 33 w/496HO's sold for $55K. That was at a private dealer only auction. Thats almost $3K over what low book for that boat. Granted this boat looked pretty pristine in the pics and had HO motors.

I would agree on the book for most boats and where they sell relative to that number, but for Baja's it seems like they are always going for a little bit more. Maybe it has something to do with being a more known brand for those not in the know.

Even talking about ACV to price a boat on the retail market is retard. Most of us do not have access to dealer only auctions.

Financing is still available for people with decent credit (I just financed a 1999 342 for 15 yrs).

I don't think anyone here will argue that an '02 33OL is very aggressively priced at $55K.

well appearantly dollabill must be smoking something to come up with those numbers he's coming up with!! Then again he is a used boat salesman so that explains it. But I guess he knows it all since he is trying to save statement marine because appearantly he thinks he knows more than them too. Hey dollabill if they needed you then they would of gotten a hold of you! Hell while your at it why don't you go ahead and save the universe along with your buddy's verbi and 4bus. Here's a new idea dollabil, you should just take over the company and hire your partner's 4bus and verbi as your employees and I guess you guys would take over the boat market. :lolhit: Also find me a 25OL in mint condition for 16k and i'll get in line with everyone else on this thread and buy one too and trade my 272 that you love so much and have talked so great about. :grinser010: Are you kidding me? ACV 10k on a 25 outlaw including trailer? Is it missing the engine, stringers, transom and trailer tires? Come one man get real before you start throwing numbers around acting like you actually know what your talking about! FIND ME A 02 25 OUTLAW WITH TRAILER FOR 10K!! Put your money where your mouth is and find one, because nobody else has been able to find a 02 25 outlaw for 10k cash. So let us all know when those crazy numbers your throwing around actually exist. What's next a brand new 42skater has a acv of 50k? lol

just a quick question....why would any dealer pay "dealer" price(ie dealer to dealer, dealer to dealer auction, even a couresty-trade to flip the trade-in to generate cash flow) VS ACV(if this truely existed)??

The price the dealer could turn the unit over within a month or less of time into cash(NOT retailing it) or acquire them for sale?---shouldnt this be the magic value--acv or dealer whatever you wanna call it?

*clearly liquidation sales would not be included*
