well appearantly dollabill must be smoking something to come up with those numbers he's coming up with!! Then again he is a used boat salesman so that explains it. But I guess he knows it all since he is trying to save statement marine because appearantly he thinks he knows more than them too. Hey dollabill if they needed you then they would of gotten a hold of you! Hell while your at it why don't you go ahead and save the universe along with your buddy's verbi and 4bus. Here's a new idea dollabil, you should just take over the company and hire your partner's 4bus and verbi as your employees and I guess you guys would take over the boat market. :lolhit: Also find me a 25OL in mint condition for 16k and i'll get in line with everyone else on this thread and buy one too and trade my 272 that you love so much and have talked so great about. :grinser010: Are you kidding me? ACV 10k on a 25 outlaw including trailer? Is it missing the engine, stringers, transom and trailer tires? Come one man get real before you start throwing numbers around acting like you actually know what your talking about! FIND ME A 02 25 OUTLAW WITH TRAILER FOR 10K!! Put your money where your mouth is and find one, because nobody else has been able to find a 02 25 outlaw for 10k cash. So let us all know when those crazy numbers your throwing around actually exist. What's next a brand new 42skater has a acv of 50k? lol
Throwing around numbers before I actually know what Im talking about? Dude, you need a reality check as to who people are around here. Let me guess, you have a house thats still worth 3x what you paid for it in 2005 too LOL. You cant polish a turd Have a great holiday. |
Forget it. I can't argue with someone who knows everything. You must have a vast background in the industry and I'[m sure your 272 is at least your 10 or 15th boat. And, of course you've done this since you been a member here a whole year and a half. God you're a tool
You just decided to downsize from the serious hardware you've owned in the past. Good god I have to beat my head against the wall around here sometimes. |

The originial question was whether the '02 33OL was worth $55K and sell it rather quickly. Then you started with the ACV, which is ONLY a tool used for dealers to put a value on a used boat on trade. Your "ACV" numbers may be good in YOUR situation but are not realistic for the majority of us buying boats at retail or public auctions. As stated, 90% of us on this post, would love to buy a 25 Outlaw at the same value "ACV" a dealer is putting on it but it is just not realistic. The dealer, or you, that just put this number on a trade in would or could not even sell it to another for that price, why would you since everyone is in the business to make money. |
I may get a little heat for this one…. But my post got hijacked so I can chime in, why don’t you guys make a bash bill post so we can keep my post in line on the 33. Better yet ill make it so I can have mine back…. I don’t buy and sell boats for a living although I would love to be a “used boat salesman”
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/b...ing-101-a.html I’ve had 7 Baja’s so I have can say this, I love the boats and think they are great boats for the money but they are a less expensive powerboat. With the way the market is and the talk of Baja going out of business its only going to hurt the brand more. I don’t think Bill is to far off on his prices for the 25s maybe a little on the low end but not much it’s a harsh reality that sucks. I have seen cigarettes go for up 100K less then what they should sell for. It’s a bad deal for the seller “or the bank” that has to take the hit but on the other hand you can find some really good deals out there. Now with that being said someone make an offer on this 33! Lol….. Where I live it Baja country so I know this boat will sell in the spring. |

Knowing ACV can help you as a buyer or seller in determining fair market value. It is another number to work from. So it is a relevant number if it is available to you. Bill has a lot of experience in the industry so his input should be considered. I don't believe he ever stated his numbers were the gospel.
