only pic i have of the motor, but you get the idea, back seat had to be cut and notched for the blower snout, as well as moved forward.

and this was 10 of the 12, one guy was in the water and one was taking the pic. was snug, but not too bad actually. had to designate who was getting the beer from the cuddy. we didn't do too much riding that day. was the lake bash, so just went to the lake and chilled there.

i agree it doesnt feel like the motor is making the power it should. im gonna pull some plugs tonight and see what they look like. might need to drop some jetting.

From: Denmark and hopefully some place nice
Have you ever tried the boat with a 24" non labbed? I would get my hands on a standard B1 26" and M+ 25/27" and see what happens. Also just to see 70 with your 24", you would need to spin @ 5300+, so more pitch on a stock prop would be a good place to start.
The reason why I mentioned the 25OL was because, I would actually think your 24 would be faster with the same power. Not that big a diff in the hull design.

i got the 24 from a local guy. he had worked it down to like a 22 or 23 with less cup for another customer. i tried it like that at first and it was better than the 22 i had before but not by much. so i brought it back to him and he worked it to a true 24 with alot of cup. it def made a big difference in cruising rpm and speed. but it just doesnt seem like its as fast as it should be. i thought the 25 was a better and more efficent hull compared to the 24. id like to try a 26 to see how it does. I was told the B1 was the better prop for the baja. but def would like to try several different ones to see what works the best. My goal isnt just all out top end, because there normally is 7-8 people every time i take it out, so getting out the water is still important. And it is just a bravo one outdrive, so don't wanna put too much strain on it. if i find a money tree ill just upgrade the blower, install a chiller, XR drive and run a bigger prop. lol

Somethings wrong there....I had a 97 24' Baja Outlaw. Ran it with a 454 and it'd do 64ish. Put a Merc 525SC with a chiller and as I recall the speed was somewhere in the high 70's (like 77ish). I "think" I was running a 28 pitch four blade but don't remember exatly.
Some pics.

very interesting, u remember any specs on the carb setup like jetting? i think it could be down on power as a result of the carb not being tuned right. and sounds like my prop could be wrong.
