The NEW 26 Outlaw

These pics have been floating around awhile, I dont think Ive seen them posted. Apparently the ratrod look is in.

Im at a loss for words on those bolsters. Im not saying if its a good thing or a bad thing, I'll let you decide.

Baja_342 08-15-2011 08:26 AM

I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything good to say about it. And at near six figure prices, I don't see this boat bringing Baja back to the main stream.

LanierBoss272 08-15-2011 08:51 AM

Wow..... that is horrid. It just looks cheap. And what's up with the Parker Brothers "Sorry" game piece looking toggles at the helm?

Sorry Baja- Fail.

Fountain Family 08-15-2011 08:52 AM

As much as i want to say something nice about it, I cant! I dont like the bolsters at all. Its just not a good looking boat.

bajabob 08-15-2011 08:59 AM

colors are all bad. looks like a old boat some one redone

WOTW2E 08-15-2011 09:18 AM

Unbelievable. I'll leave it at that.

The gauge layout looks like a frog smiling at me.

XT-Innovator 08-15-2011 09:33 AM

Good to see that boat being built again!

Keep the feedback going, and I am sure the good people at Baja are working hard on all the new 2012 models.

puzzleboy 08-15-2011 09:59 AM

The bolsters are kinda funny looking. The toggles could be prototypical.... We'll see.

I do hope the Baja marque rises again though, so I have to support 'em!

JaayTeee 08-15-2011 10:03 AM

I think it's suppose to be @ LOTO shootout weekend
at a liberty boat group party @ Paradise on fri,
I may have to swing by and take a look at it in person
before I draw any conclusions.

Pawdog75 08-15-2011 10:15 AM

I agree 100% it looks like an early 90s model that someone redid?? If they were putting that boat out for 35-45k it would be nice but at almost 6figures, WOW!

Ebay Ed 08-15-2011 12:30 PM

fugly

socalstone 08-15-2011 12:41 PM

Horrible. Fugly is right.

A.O. Razor 08-15-2011 01:05 PM

Who is building and designing Baja's these days after Mr. Helmet hair, and who did before him?

I'm dissapointed to say the least. The 26OL Baja/Baja by Helmet hair was a good looking boat IMO, but I don't think this is.

Fixxxer22 08-15-2011 03:08 PM

The exerior looks fine to me. Looks modern. The dash looks like every other 26 ive seen. the switches are just like what my buddy has in his 1997 fountaian fever. rubber toggle with indicator light on each circuit. i dont really like them facing up like that though. his are on he dash which is just like every fountain dash and on the side. I like the outside just fine. the bolsters... not so much

I think this was my all time favorite Outlaw graphic. It is still on the Baja website.

pjameven 08-15-2011 03:57 PM

maybe it looks better in person but I doubt it.....another vote for fugly, wow!

Is the color off on all 3 of my computers or does this look like black primer going for the ratrod look? I have cheap photoshop programs with better font than the "Old English" font. I got to read and listen to all the negative posts when I worked at Baja, so I'll give my honest opinion.

100% Fail. Im sick.

US1 Fountain 08-15-2011 06:39 PM

Not a fan of those bolsters.

Haven't been following the Baja saga lately. Are they still made at Fountain by Liberty or are they now made elsewhere?

Baja_man 08-15-2011 06:52 PM

I think its the colors that aren't doing it any justice. The bolsters are fine, kind of look like any other sit down boat....it's nots the aero look we are used to but the shape is fine maybe a little different pattern.

c_deezy 08-15-2011 06:58 PM

Whoever came up with the color/design scheme for that particular boat should be fired.

The bolsters don't look too bad, almost acceptable, but that back seat and sunpad look like total schit.

BUT too be fair, maybe that's how a customer ordered the boat...you never know.

Nice photoshop Adam. Almost as good as my 405 photoshop job. Almost! :drink:

bms26 08-15-2011 09:52 PM

With the exception of the shape of the boat, everything else is awful.... Fugly is saying it nicely:lolhit:

BIGSLOW 08-15-2011 10:01 PM

If the boat was white with the Orange and Charcol graphics it would look better. The sun pad needs the 4 headrest going across the back to break it up. The bolsters aren't too bad, but look plain and cheaply made. Redo the gauge layout and move the switches to the hull side by the throttles. Just a few tweaks and this could be a great looking boat again.

Ebay Ed 08-15-2011 10:16 PM

something else i noticed the cockpit looks real small and on the colors that sucker is going to be hot in the sun if it wasnt special ordered in those colors i think they are going to have a hard time moving it and if it was a special order we need to find the guy and sit him down and have a talk with him about his color choices

TBAG 08-16-2011 07:45 AM

Wow, that thing is horrendous. Such a shame.

socalstone 08-16-2011 07:31 PM

Does anyone know the story on this one? Wondering If someone custom ordered it like that, -and if so, maybe it's perfect. If that is a factory piece built to sell bajas - it will be an epic failure!

Keith Atlanta 08-16-2011 08:28 PM

I didnt know they did boats in grey primer... oh wait.

Teo 08-17-2011 04:06 AM

What are they thinking? Itīs the same boat but cheaper. those seats looks that Iīve could have maked them myself.

I do know that this boat has been the one that they have had the drawing schematics of on the Baja website for a long time. I can't believe this is a customer ordered boat considering it's the first 2012 off the line for the new company. So unfortunately, I think this IS the factory unit designed to be the figurehead for the brand.

Is that boat going to be down at LOTO next week? Would like to see it in person. Don't think it will change my opinion though. Don't like it at all.

noyzee 08-18-2011 11:12 AM

id say the boat itself looks fine, the colors and the only ok interior kill it. but im sure they will make a different color option for the boat and it will look good, just a few tweaks.
the new owners may have been shooting for a total bold statement and this is what they came up with. not my first choice but i wouldnt rule them out of the game.
little feed back and i think the boats will be nice

TEAMBAJA 08-18-2011 01:46 PM

I found a matching tow vehicle.

Paint the wheels orange and it's ready for the poker run circuit:)

Kustom Kolors 08-18-2011 06:09 PM

Hey greg you want to go see it in person next week ?

TWIN-SPINS 08-18-2011 06:41 PM

I agree. Like the outside and color scheme. Bolsters not so much...
