29 outlaw for sale i found......

I painted that 29 for The Ski Dock to put in the 2002 Austin Boat Show. I actually sold it to the original owner at the boat show. It is a nice boat but definatly under powered with the small blocks in it.

Right before I sold it in 2004, I did a video of a WOT on GPS and it saw 78.2 mph on the GPS that day. OSO member Steel Outlawed saw that video since he was interested in buying my boat back in 2004

I can never understand the great speed debates in the Baja camp. Aren't all these boats built the same? Weigh the same, etc.?
With the numbers of these boats out there I would think there would be a concensus on how fast each model / power combo will run.

The number of boats out there and out there and the number of variables out there means anything is possible. If someone was able to squeeze even more speed out of one than I did, then let's hear about it. You never know what a particular boat is capable of until you hear from everyone. Until then, there is no concensus.

Basically, there is no "advertised" speed. There's a best, a worst, and everything in between.

IMO it's all on how much time someone spent with prop setup and how much fuel and load if they stripped everything from the boat. Humidity, temp and water conditions as well. Also keep in mind every hull is not the same. These are man made and how much time it sat in the mold before pulling it out varies on curing time for the resin. There is no exact build on a boat. Also if one was special ordered with X dimension raised. If it was built prior to 2002 when Baja raised the X dimension. Are they spinning props in or out. What someone calls stock and what Baja called stock. If it left the factory or was installed prior to new purchase I would call it stock.
