Here is some comparison info for ya.
I have the almost the same truck except 5.0L.
2011 F150/5.0/4x4/3.55 gears/145" wheel base/20" wheels. Added SIDO exhaust and tonneau cover.
Around home in So IL...pretty flat ground.
55-60mph....I get anywhere 23-24mpg
60-65- drops down to 20-21.
Traveled to central Ohio in March for work. which was about 1200mi. Pretty windy there and back..either driving into or across. Averaged right around 18 for the trip with cruise set on 72-74.
It seems the sweet spot for gas mileage on the new F150s seems to be right around 57-58mph. Anything above that and it starts dropping
Only towed a few times. Saw about 14-15 with 20 ft Mariah cuddy behind it.
congrats on the boat and sorry for the hi-jack

I usually drive the posted speed limit. I guess I was just a little excited to get the boat, so I drove faster

I enjoy the extra couple of minutes it takes me to get to work. I get to listen to more music then!

Good point. Thx
Haha Jason....
Gas is 4/gal here. Driving 55 only cost me about 1-2 mins extra driving to work....not really a big deal.
However the extra 4-5 or more miles to a gallon add up. Say I get 2 more mpgs driving 55 over say driving 60....2 x 36 gal tank is 72 miles extra per that tank....Thats 3 extra days of driving to work.....keep doing the math and it adds up.
I would rather have to extra money to play with then put in my tank for an extra couple of minutes each day.
