The get real trim pumps and reservoirs are so nice. Still have to mount the ones for power steering and outdrive.

Did you by chance remove the engine mounts and check for rot? Those boats are notorious for transom, stringer and bulkhead rot You should really take some core samples before getting her all done..

A easy way to check transom is to grab hold of the drive and pull up and down on it if you see the transom flex or move any there is a pretty good chance that its rotten and if the transom is gone more than likely the stringers and bulkhead are too!!!

I just hate to see you doing all this work and adding the bigger power just to find out down the road you have bigger problems on your hands!!

I have had to drill new holes for the exhaust. As you can tell by looking at the old holes I haven't painted yet right under the risers. Also we put billet motor mounts in and the stringers were solid there. Everything we have had to drill through felt good and solid.

Here is a pic of a 4 1/2" hole I had to cut through the transom. I wouldn't want to be hit in the head by it. Also the transom is 2 1/2" thick
