The survey is somethig you would pay for,you hire someone to go and inspect the boat from top to bottom. A good survayer charges by the foot, if in the event they come across something serious they will normally stop and phone you with there discovery, if it serious damage it will be up to you to continue, or to call it off and start your search again!

496ho? Don't think you will be seeing 90's with that power! Best of luck with your search, post pics when you get one!

That is a good looking boat, however, If your lookin for the speeds discussed in earlier post that 496ho is not going to deliver, looking more at 64-66mph.

The 272 Boss that was mentioned earlier as "Indy's old boat" just posted for sale, see the thread just below yours in the Baja forum "Selleing my Baja Boss" I think its in Florida now runs close to 90 mph. I spoke to the previous owner about it before it sold the last time. Engine was built by Schumaker Performance in Greenwood, Indiana i believe. They have an excellant reputation.

I have a 2004 25 outlaw. This past winter I swapped 496ho out for a built 540 with procharger. I also installed IMCO drive and lower with single hydraulic steering add on. Engine dynoed at 800HP/800 ft lb's torque. I got 85 mph pretty much out of the box with 32p 4 blade hydromotive prop. It is tough to get speed out of these hulls but the boats are built so well that I am very happy with it. I run 92 octane and runs good. If you are wanting a clean 25 outlaw around a 2004 to run those kind of numbers I think you are looking in the $60k range.

My m1 procharger recommends 91 octane at least, I run 93 octane in
