That sucks that you don`t have a throttle to control rpm.. yup I think a cam or prop is the way to go for sure.. Have you looked into a drive brake? It also slows down the rpms. just adds a pedal like in car...

i have a 1997 24ft baja outlaw sst with a high performance 502 v8 andf a m1 procharge
top speed before rebuild was 80mph don't rember the rmps
now after build i am at 75mph/ 6000 rpm and have still room to go on the throttel no gps
prop came with the boat , spinelle 4 blade, can't find the picth on it for the life of me, it was labed and cupped so no numbers
thats what i have
bought it used, and the second owner new nothoing about the boart he sold to me, i am trying to find out more and more every day on my own

no exploring all options and price amounts, i have a msd box on it with 3 chips, 5400, 6000, and not sure on the other chip i think 7 or 8 thousand not sure just put it non last year, expensive year and used boat for 3 hours all summer, and to add full hydraulic steering from imc 5900, plus cost of rebuoild 6000. expensive year,. the only money i saved was on gas, but a bad way to save money in my book
