Tinting/Painting Your Fairing
#1
I have a 29' Outlaw and was thinking of tinting or spraying my fairing purple. It would be cool if the plexiglass still appeared transparent with a hint of purple. Is this possible? Has anyone tried something like this?

Mine is already tinted so I cant help you there
I would however scuff it if it is plexiglass with 1500 grit paper and spray from inside out.
then it will look really good
but wont be exact color since your physically scratching it
I would go to Home depot and get a small piece of plexiglass and cut it into pieces first, see what the best color and application technique is, but if you just paint it on smooth plexi, I highly doubt it will stick more than a season, if you allow it to get really cold, Ill be in the spring you going to come open it up and have big flakes on the floor
Just be careful before you go do it on the boat, test on something first

Good advice bro! My boat already has quite a bit of purple and the purple tinted race fairing would look cool!
By the way, congratulations on getting your boat running! I have been following the saga for quite some time now! All that BS on top of getting married too, dooohhhh!
