This, my man, is one of the drawbacks of Baja and most go fast boats ownership when selling.
It's a perception from potential buyers of ours being a lesser boat than the more upscale Mfg's boats simply due to the name.
But the truth is that it's the same as ownership of upscale boats too.
Dave probably knows Doug, his 03 Cig 38 TG/TS finally broke 100 few years back and last year sold for less than 150 is what he told me. Trust me there was over 400k in that boat after purchasing it new and upgrading over the years.
If I was sitting on the coin I'd pounce on yours or JT's for less than 80 in a millesecond than paying twice the price for a name badge and bragging rights.
Now I'll probably get ripped from some of the owners of those high end boats but it's just my .02

My friend that was inquiring about your 29 last year bought a 33 with 500 efis. Ultra clean local freshwater boat that we both know the original owner. Very well kept, had the engines freshened this year by a cert merc mechanic. Rings, bearings, springs, the usual.

Sounds like a very fair price if she's sitting on a decent trailer .

Although listings are a bit on the rise of asking prices what I find that's sad is that the better equipped units of a model are held back by the standard models.

Holy Mackerel what a friggin wide spread of asking prices. Most were in line but some listings are so high that 40% off is still higher than the buyers pool will bear.

Kelly, My padna owns the 33 OL Hossman Dave had many years ago, formally "Texas Tease" with 500HP's warmed up. She runs close around 85 any day or conditions.

Yep, in Frisco off 121/Custer area, Service Manager at Grapevine Ford, great place to be...still miss Houston but this is where the good Lord wanted me I suppose. Wife and I are driving up to Texoma this weekend to nose around and look at storage options... Just don't know where to go with no water anywhere. Don't care for Lewisville, love PK but that is a haul from Frisco so who knows...any ideas????

TBird... mine was an 03 29 OL with HO's in it...sold back in April/May... was on Ebay last week/10-days ago up in LOTO. Owner hit a log with it and tore off one drive and trashed the special props I had made for it...all fixed and still looks good. Miss it, wish it had been a 33 and we'd have tried to keep it.

Yes Kelly....what is there is all over the place.... Just depends if you go off of book value or centimental value...banks only care about one of the two. The 33 Hook'em is talking about has boxes on it too

4BUS... Yeah, I remember the boat... paintball graphic...blue/red/silver... one drive rebuilt, the other not, both motors good...boat up North somewhere right? At the time we were looking for a Top Gun or Donzi till I lost my job in Houston....had to re-group and now we are back in the market... I'm sure it's a nice ride but not sure about 60K and still having to drive to NY to get it and back. Would rather an 02 or newer with the higher X or one with boxes on it... I think you have the boats mixed up. He was going to buy your 29, then he found a 33. This was last year, about April or may I believe. His 22 is the paint ball scheme, but is red/orange/yellow. It has never had drive issues. Very clean 80 mph 500 efi boat and trailer. It's name Uranus....I know :/

I remember the guy if it's the one up north? He had a friend with a 2000 33 with 500's who was selling... Anyway shoot him my email and I'll go from there, thanks for the heads up man. Good grief, 6 months ago there were 33's and 35's listed all over... Now just a few that have been for sale for a while.

Problem I have is (and anyone that knows me knows unfortunately/fortunately) I am very picky as to my definition of the word "clean". I take OCD to another level. That's why I suck at buying used but can't afford new. Nothing chaps me more then someone saying something is clean to have me look at it, find something obvious and then have the canned saying "oh yeah well that just"... Yeah, no.

Enlighten me on your prop setup that was on your 29!! I just had cutting edge redo mine bravo's but the guy was kinda hard to understand.

CPE (cutting edge) did mine.... 28 Bravos @ 5100 in the heat... The original owner I believe I heard stepped away and his partner is running it now. Give him my name and see if You can see if he has logged what he did to them. He doesn't believe in a ton of cup on a baja.... Don't want to say too much and get in trouble.
