A few years ago you could go right to your local Baja dealer and still order them. We had someone step on one and break it walking boat to boat rafted up. It was almost $1600 for just the center piece. There was a manufacturer name on it when it came. I can't remember what it said. I can picture the decal, I will have to do some serious brain storming for you.

Shame of it is we were morons, the boat fell off the trailer and cracked the keel. This led to a 4 x 15 ft section of the bottom coming off while under way at about 75 mph. it was scary. Anyway, we ended up pulling the power and just trashing everything else....idiots!!

I think it is taylor made I remember seeing decal on side panel.I called a guy here on long island today and sent him pics im hoping to get an answer asap on if they can make it and how much I just read strip pokers post and eek on the prices ... there are lots of mention of people who do this thing where are they and who should I call first I think I need to find the people with the mold to cut cost I also contacted my insurance company to see if something like this is covered and waiting for answer... I tell you I was really hating boats but the long winter renewed my liking and wanted to start getting it together and took the cover off today since I was home sick this really sucks
Any real guidance will be helpful.I called adjreniline junkey since I have his number he was parting out a boat last year I hoping he calls me back with good news ther is also port monster ill have to contact him too but I think they both got rid of the part I need
So is there a parts boat out ther with a good usable wind shield ????
Im going to go back and look at strip pokers post and get some names If I don't here any good news

All my windshield was busted. The only piece I have left is the stainless trim piece that goes around the top.

The original was made by Viplex, I'm told they have gone out of business. Try http://www.updplastics.com/contact.htm They do nice work.

I contacted upd ,they have a 1988 sport 280 windshield listed on their web page .
When I spoke to them they gave me price 1150 which is doable but cant make it until September or later ? I don't need it then I kinda need it now and don't want to dump all that wood into a boat that is going to be under cover in the freeze zone for it to break ....
I had a lead on a used one but haven't heard from the guy in a while ....
Any way I am in contact with another oso member and he knows a guy that can make it out of fiberglass for 1000 buck ? that's a good option im kicking around .He says he needs 3 to start the project but haven't heard from either
Finally I found a guy who says he's the only guy on Long Island that can make replica of original locally .I don't know the cost but I can find out .
Its getting close to the season although its still cold ,hopefully it will warm up soon
I took the cover off and started to get it all together its been cleaned and set up alls I gotta do know is wax it and add water

Baja Sport 280....

My windshield is painted and looks great. But, it was meant to be seen through and it is hard for passengers in the back seat and those sitting in the front to see. If you are going with fiberglass I would consider lowering the height. Just my 2 cents.
