Crew got me investigating and I soon found out that my exhaust (silent choice) has a turbulator between the exhaust manifold and the elbow, so...........being the tinkerer that I am I took about 45 minutes and pulled mine off.
Wow!! What a difference just sitting there in my driveway...it idled much louder and when I revved it up I hit the rev limiters pretty quickly, never hit the limiters before doing this.
Anyway....you might check to see if your engine has those turbulators.
Might be worth a shot.
Now I wonder how it will do out on the water...can't wait.

You're very welcome.
Just make sure you get the tips with the flapper or whatever they are called. When it is idling it'll sound like a small lightweight hammer flopping around in your exhaust, but that is normal and they are there to keep the water out at low RPM.
