Thanks for all the responses. My bronco has a 4 inch lift and I towed my 25 outlaw all over with no problems. I had no issues down big hills or stopping. But I agree with the consensus and I think I'll just have to be happy with my 24 outlaw for now. No biggie, it was a project for 2 1/2 years and I was finally able to enjoy it this year. Thanks for all the comments.

Funny how far trailer saftey had come these days.
Back in 1971 I was in the front seat or laying down in between the back seat and the way back seat in my cave as me Dad was driving down 95 towards Florida during Spring Break.
Under the hood of the special ordered 1970 Chrysler Country Squire wagon sat a 440 with dual 4 barrels and dual exhaust.
It had a custom welded on heavy duty hitch and no other mods than that,
In the car was my 7 other brothers and sisters and behind us was a 1968 23 foot Slickcraft filled with 500lbs of luggage sitting on top a dual axle Hosclaw trailer sporting 12 inch tires.
So back to the story as i was laughing about this the other day with my dad telling him it is amazing us kids are all still alive with the chances he took with us and the chances he let us take., as twice a year we made this 3000 mile round trip pilgrimage back and forth from Michigan to Florida at 80 Mph getting 5 miles to the gallon with nothing but surge brakes and a 2 inch ball for trailer safety.
I think the only reason the 12 inch tires made it is they were able to cool down every hour for 15 minutes while we refueled and all the kids stretched and peed and dump in another 20 gallons of gas to get us another 100 miles down the road.
Dad said everything was fine as that was nothing to him having to deliver 50 foot house trailers that he sold in Michigan down to Florida with a 1949 Hudson with 3 on the tree over the mountains on 2 lane roads back before us kids.
Another quick story
My dad back in 1973 ordered a 26 foot Monza when we were down in Florida and it was to be delivered by the boat company to Michigan COD when it was finished
The delivery truck was a 1955 or something 3/4 ton Dodge that the driver said had no brakes at all and he drove all the way from Florida relying on engaging the trailer surge brakes by down shifting the truck at full stops.
And he wasn't even wearing a helmet
