Need help with proper drive depth on my 272
Currently has a -2 IMCO upper and Lower. I've read the -2's are no good.
Right now the center shaft of the lower is right at 7.5 inches below the flat spot on the hull below the drain.
Before I just start throwing money at spacers I would like to know the proper depth.
Thanks
For some reason It wont allow me to attach pics.
Thanks

You can only attach pics with a paid membership or by hosting them on a photo sharing website.
That being said, 7.5" below the bottom is still very deep and you should not have any issues.
Are you sure its a -2 ??? The uppers are the same. The lower is what is shortened and it will be stamped with a -2.

This is apples to oranges. My Pantera with a -2 Imco is 3" below. Measured with drive level to get correct height. If you want to check, The -2 from the top to center prop shaft is 8.25" for the lower.

I'm pretty sure Baja raised the X dim on most models over the years. What year boat is yours???
At 7.5 " below the bottom, that is still very deep and should carry the bow easily.
Running the correct prop can make a huge difference. What prop are you running??? What power???
