I have a 98, same hull as 2000. 2002, X changed and gained a couple mph over ours.
In 40 degree weather in VA, mine ran 67.6 with 3 guys and 1/4 fuel (est 45 gallons) Now down here in Nawlins, she will run 65.4 light in 70-80 degree weather with lots of humidity. Loaded, mid summer, she will run 62-63 all day. (Loaded, full fuel, gear, beer, 7 adults) Cruise at 50 at 3800 in flat water. Just reread post.. 454 mag mpis, not reg MPIs. Which are you looking at? That's interesting, my 97 322 Perf. Cruises 50 @3500 and will run 72 on a perfect day and typically 68-70 any other time. Here and I thought the outlaws were a faster boat. Same engines and drives as yours. |

Ended up with 4 blade labbed b/c 3 blade 25p ( that gave me 3500 @ 50) would blow out in turns. I get 50 at 3800 now or 52 with some good chop. |

A 33 Outlaw is 2 feet + longer than a 322 and rough water ride is much better with a 33OL.

a 322 is a 30' boat....a 29 O/L and a 302 w/ 310 hp 454's will run low 60's gps |
Should run right at 70-71mph dialed in wit labbed props.
I am probably going to get them freshened up after this season and send to Cutting Edge. BBlades labbed the first time, but don't want to pay that price again to fix a couple nicks and maybe tweak the lab. I do love the feel of the Lab. You can definitely feel the difference in bite. |

I disagree, I didn't think the outlaw ride was any better in rough water.

Ran across this thread again.. Figured I would update my speeds..
Running back from Tickfaw 200, S motor lost rpms a couple times. Came off plane, revved it a couple times, and ran good again.. over 100gal fuel and 5 adults and coolers. Was pretty pissed, so at one point, I just pinned the sticks to the wood! She ran over 67! I was like... wth!! Long story short.. borrowed rinda scanner from fellow baja brotha and ended up having several codes on both moters. Changed TPS on S and MAP and Knock sensor on P and codes did not come back. Havent had a chance to run by myself and light yet, but loaded (5 adults, 4 kids sitting in cuddy) she is now running 64-65 in summer heat and that wasnt trimmed out bc I didnt stay wot long due to ppl on boat!! Props still have a couple knicks so i will be sending out this winter to relab and fix once I see where my rpms are light and wot. Just as a reminder.. she used to run 62ish loaded and 65 light in cool weather! Apparently the Knock codes were fixing timing so I wasnt getting any timing advance over 4500... Running great now! |
