2000 33 outlaw w/454's speeds?

Anybody have real seat time on a 33 with 454 mpi's?

Real speeds and performance.

Any changes in the hulls from 2000 and up?

I have a 98, same hull as 2000. 2002, X changed and gained a couple mph over ours.

In 40 degree weather in VA, mine ran 67.6 with 3 guys and 1/4 fuel (est 45 gallons)
Now down here in Nawlins, she will run 65.4 light in 70-80 degree weather with lots of humidity.
Loaded, mid summer, she will run 62-63 all day. (Loaded, full fuel, gear, beer, 7 adults)
Cruise at 50 at 3800 in flat water. Just reread post.. 454 mag mpis, not reg MPIs. Which are you looking at?

They are great boats COOPS! I've driven both my friends 2007 292 and my 33 Outlaw. The 292 is an impressive boat for its size but obviously I love the outlaws, especially the 35 and 33!

Sorry I don't have personal expierence with 454s in a 33, I did own a 94 32 caliber with 454mag carb, and loved it. Mid 60's and a blast!

Depending on boating style and the budget you allow the hobby, a faster boat may not be worth the headaches.

If your serious about speed find one with bigger power or buy that one cheap enough to upgrade, even though upgrading is normally not money well spent.

My deal fell through so I will post the info on this boat I was looking at. Very nice.

I will start a new thread on it.

I am not playing the game with buyers anymore this year.

They can go lick another boats props!

Good luck on your continued shopping! You will find a better deal on one!

So, I am guessing you haven't sold your boat or that deal fell through? This boat looked pretty good. The 2000+ made a big difference in upholstery and the cuddy interior colors. If you could get in 40s, it would be a pretty good deal. Only issue I would be worried about would be engines, but they already changed headers. For me down here, the only other item would be trailer.. Looks like it's steel, my first steel lasted a year.
