Default Future boat

Hey guys just starting to do my HW for a purchase in the next year or so. Had a fountain and would like another but see what else is out there and bajas tend to have bigger cockpits and are also cheaper in like age and model. this is what I am looking for below, my budget is going to be max 50 but would probably like to be closer to 40. so give me some ideas on models and age range, I would assume anything in the 90s probably fits not sure how new into the 2000s I can go, I know fountains I can probably find a 2001-2003 possibly

1. 28-30 ft
2. Twins, not looking for blue motors or blown stuff
3. need an anchor locker and would like an built in ladder
3. Cabin space or toilet doesn't matter to me really
4. Don't need a speed demon but something that hits 70

Cockipit space is what I am looking for if anybody has dimensions that would be great. Also not a fan of wild graphic schemes so would probably want one that's more toned down and I don't like the bajas with the 3in winshields either.

Look at some 302 Performance Series Baja's. Should find them in your range. Very large cockpit for a 30' boat and plenty of space in cabin. I would suggest you definitely find one with the extended swim platform...as you cant find them to purchase separately. we have owned our 302 for 5 years and been a great all around twin engine performance boat. Easy to trailer, lots of room for boat this size, easy to work on engines, works well for weekends and handles 7 mile lakes up to large lakes. Most came with 496's and older ones with 454 or 502's. Ours has HP500EFI's...runs 80. Again, cant stress enough to find one with the extended swim platform. most of the 2001 and up 302's have them but the older ones generally do not.

If you’re looking for twin engines and a windshield vs windscreen then your choices will be the 302, 342, and 38 special
as said above the 302 needs the extended swim platform. The 38 is big and probably out of the price range you want. The 342 would be great and may find one at the upper end the price range

thanks so far, yeah want to stay around 30ft for storage, towing, inland lake use and just overall cost. Want to say away from blue motors as well.

For what you’re asking for, a 342 is going to be your best bet.... you’re not going to get the cockpit space with a 302

I know I am going to be limited with what a 29-30ft boat can do, just not getting into a 35ft boat for the reasons already mentioned so with that said, I'm kind of looking at the fever, 292 fastech and whatever baja offers. Going to come down to the best boat for the best cost that offers what I want.

Do the bajas have anchor lockers.
