Unfortunately on mine, at the transom the liner is only about an inch above the hull.

I don’t have a liner on my 272 Islander, but my drain plug was over an inch above the bottom and I boat on lakes that require a completely dry boat. I actually pulled the engine to fill the bottom with resin to level with the plug.

I know that this is of zero help but I felt like complaining.

most likely did it cause of the dual vs. single engine install and needed 2 holes for the engine oil drain lines...
