DAMN!! I can't wait to follow the thread on this build.
I'd rather see some big blower motors going in lol but cool project none the less. I'm curious, have you banged around on your stringers and transom to see if there's rot? Seems like a good opportunity to see if the poster on "why the hate for baja" thread is correct.

I started pulling everything off the transom and found some rot under the Right Stb exhaust!! Not bad for a 98’ i guess.
It’s isolated to about a 1ft square in that lower corner and was still wet, but I cant trust a partial repair, so, siince I was going to add knees and another layer to transom anyway… I started stripping the transom today for a new one along with cutting the stringers back and adding 3 high knees to support the weight and torque!
Bracket should be here in 3 weeks, hopefully, they can get to me by then.. In the mean time, I am piecing together all the steering, Simrad disp and harness pieces that I need.
Got a lot done today. Just the corners left and finish cutting the lil stringers back more.

Transom should be done this week. Going with 3 layers thick with knees all the way up to the old exhaust, or just under the bracket mount.
ill start a thread as I get further into it. Harness, steering, str pump will be ordered tomrrow, jack plates should be in tomorrow as well. ALready made the new dash panel. Keeping gps so I dont have to split the lil 9” Simrad to see both gps and gauges.
