If you're currently running a 23P Mirage Plus, get a 23P Mercury Revolution 4, NOT a Bravo 1. I think you'll be pleased. You may lose 1 - 2 mph at WOT, however.

The only way I would use a 4 blade would be if: a lot of horsepower, like 600+, difficult to get on plane, cavitation, or very slow to plane, or very high x, 3 blades are always from my exp. 2-3 mph faster on average and the worst for me was 5 mph slower with the 4 blade

LIQUID ASSET

I am not running alot of horse power, but my x is raised. The 25 mirage plus i have does really well. On takeoff i just rev to about 3000 rpm until it planes over then it is fine, (slow planing) never blows out this way... Once on plane the mirage has never blown out..I figured a Bravo 4 blade would be slower on the top end, but figured i could get it labbed to get back the few mph i lose over the 3 blade? Was just curious if anything about the 4 blade was better on this boat? My dealer told me today he would let me try one this summer as long as i brought it back undamaged.

I'll try anything once, but I would have the 35'' mirage labbed or if that turns 2 many rpms go to a 27'', are you running a 502 or whipple or what? was the x raised origanally or did you use a shortie? How fast are you going at what rpm?

I thoght about having the 25 Mirage labbed, but I am only about 150 rpm from rev limiter in the cooler temps of the year now? I am running stock 502 except for a Whipple flame arrestor. The x was raised by Baja when I ordered the boat new, they do this for my dealer, he said he has to sign a waiver or something, and that they only do it for a couple dealers??? He has experience as to what works well on most models of Bajas. I run 75(gps) at about 4800 - 4900 rpm. I was afraid if I had the 25 labbed, I would be bumping the limiter? Was just curious if a 4 blade would offer any advantages, and if anyone had experiences with one on a H2X...

Thanks for the input everyone!
