Red Stripe,

That is one sharp looking boat for an '88. She seems to be in really good condition and will make the new owner a happy one.
I'm really impressed with how clean that engine and bilge look.

Good luck in getting what you ask!!

So, this begs the question...what's next?

Red Stripe - I would not give that boat away, that has to be one of the cleanest 88's I have seen, you will find someone who will appreciate it and give you a good price. Patience is a virtue. Very nice boat, a boat in that kind of shape is hard to find! Whats next? Eric

Thanks for the complements everyone!!

I haven't made my decision on whats next yet. Lots of possibilities out there. It took me forever to find the 196 and I have so much more $$ into it than what I am trying to get out of it. It's hard to find older boats that have been really taken care of.
One possibility is a 89 Power Play (now Powerquest) 230 Conquest that my brother-in-law owns. He really needs to unload it (divorce forces sale to settle with his ex) and I can get a great deal on it. But, my wife really wants a 232 Baja and I would love a Sunsation Aggressor! I really want something with bolsters but I could just buy some bolsters and put them in the Power Play.

It all just depends on how much money I want to blow next

Thanks again and feel free to pass the word

Since you like the Baja's.. I have a '92 240 Islander that I will probably be listing for sale this spring. It has a 502 Mag that will push it to 68 gps, sits on a 2001 Heritage custom trailer and the boat has tons of new items. Let me know if your interested. I have some pics that I could email

Thanks for the offers guys!

The next boat has to have a large cuddy (for my wife and kids) but I appreciate the offers. I am looking for a boat with lots of freeboard which in turn gives lots of head room in the cuddy (and lets me sit in a bolster )

Thanks again!
Todd
