liquid, just funnin w/ya. Does the zep just melt it off or do you still have to wipe around everything? It sure sounds like something I gotta have as I have tons of transom jewelry and nooks and crannies that are a b*&%^h to get to.

Be sure to check usage info on any products you use, because some cleaners, and it seems like simple green was one of them, will corode aluminum if left on a short time. If you hose the cleaner off right away it shouldn't hurt anything, though. I personally use Fantastic for most stuff, it's pretty mild, but will take most staining off. works real good on a sooty transom, too.

I have used it on vinyl and didn't see anything bad happening short term, but I rarely keep a boat for longer than a year or two, so it could be causing a long term problem, I suppose. I have heard that Fantastic will degrade stitching. Does that sound right to you?
