liquid, just funnin w/ya. Does the zep just melt it off or do you still have to wipe around everything? It sure sounds like something I gotta have as I have tons of transom jewelry and nooks and crannies that are a b*&%^h to get to.

You still have to wipe it down, bnut it comes off easy, I would dilute it 50/50

Be sure to check usage info on any products you use, because some cleaners, and it seems like simple green was one of them, will corode aluminum if left on a short time. If you hose the cleaner off right away it shouldn't hurt anything, though. I personally use Fantastic for most stuff, it's pretty mild, but will take most staining off. works real good on a sooty transom, too.

pwam1- Fantastic works well but it is corrosive, rinse throughly after use on any metal and dont use it on your vinyl.

I have used it on vinyl and didn't see anything bad happening short term, but I rarely keep a boat for longer than a year or two, so it could be causing a long term problem, I suppose. I have heard that Fantastic will degrade stitching. Does that sound right to you?
