Trust me, take another look. That area is great because it is already reinforced. I had to take the dash panel off and reach through the hole where the hydraulic lines and electrical pass through. I can also reach it from the side storage area behind the drivers seat. You have to really crawl up in there. Be extra careful and double and triple check before you drill the holes. There are a LOT of hoses and wires behind there that you don't want to contact with the drill bit. On the 272, I had to cut a piece of 1/2 thick plywood as a backing plate because the area was not reinforced. Let me know if you have any other questions. Also, don't let me give you the wrong idea. It was very hard to reach and my arm was cut my the glass in that tight area. Good luck |

Baja did put a mirror on the inside of the door to the head. Comes in handle while the door is open. There is also a light in the head area. However it is cramped in there!:(

dock i got the latches from southco.com, they manufacture the latches on the boat, two of my plastic ones where cracked. don't remember price but i want to say the plastic ones where 14 and the stainless steel ones were 16? i went for the stainless so the would not crack again. attach with two screws, perfect fit, look great. i used the distributor for MI had them in less than a week. also got a new glove box lock assembly since i did not have key. you can get the latches so they will lock as well, i did not.
m1-62-8 non locking 7-12mm panel m1-42-8 locking big improvement |

What kind of camera are you using DOCK? It does a nice job on the up close pictures. Mine sometimes tends to blur, then I have to do them over.........

To top it all off you need a good tow vehical.
We chose a 2002 Ford F-350 DRW, crew cab, PSD, 4x4 Lariat. Added a 50 gallon fuel cell / tool box in the bed, mud flaps all around, a REAL billet grill, Sony head unit, six disk changer, XM radio and a custom Sub and AMP encloser behind the rear seat. Sounds awesome. With a stock 40 gallon tank, plus the 50 gallon bed tank we have a towing range close to 1000 miles. Truck stops and rest area's are all we need. |

If you have a Ford with the tow mirrow setup, you need these.
C-BetR Mirrors. They are AWESOME. I find they are the only ones I look at anymore. Put them on the F-350 and the Excursion. I found the guy on www.thedieselstop.com |

Do you know what the 4x4's and 6x6 in the bed is for?
Yeah that is my instant curb (jack) in case of a flat. There is no way to jack this boat and trailer. I have torsion axles, and you just drive up on these timbers at an angle and the wheel is off the ground. A curb works great, but they are hard to find on an interstate. Hope I don't have to use them anytime soon. |

Mr. Kevin Brady If you need any warranty work on your Baja, need engine upgrades, strainers, drive showers, outdrives, exhaust tips, etc, etc, Kevin is the man to see. They are a Mercury parts center and I have found them to have everything I have been looking for in stock and they usually ship the same day. He just finished the complete rebuilds of my buddies 500's in a 1997 Sonic 42SS, and they dyno at 550 HP each. He knows boats and engines. I have seen almost every brand boat in his shop including Cigarette, Pantera, Active Thunder, Formula, Scarab, Sonic, Donzi, Baja and Fountain. Good honest work at a fair price. Give Kevin a call and tell him "Dock" sent you. |
Business must be good!!!!

Hey Dock, have you thought about this option yet?

TeamBaja,
Looks NICE, I did it on the 272, but for some reason I don't think I will on the 26. At this time I think we are finished! I will have to post some pictures of the flat screen TV however, it looks GREAT. |
