Default Causin' Trouble

Hello all,

Just perusing the board and read in the the Scarab section a guy getting a 98 29' Scarab with twin 350's moving from a Baja. Don't get me wrong, a really nice boat, my friend has one and it is really nice.

But then another "joe"ker gives the ol' bahahahah - yeah, well, with twin 350's, a 29 Scarab is DOG slow, a really nice boat, but D-O-G slow.

Does anybody who bashes each others brands do any research, know anything about boats, or even graduated high-school, have all their teeth, etc..? (GEDs don't count).

Let's see if some fur flies on this one... the PQ guys went a way.

I think bashers are illiterate { I hope I spelled that right} lol If it floats and its what you afford or like , good for you for luxury of having one, some people don't have that option

That's what I say, I've owned quite a few and was proud of each one, including the dingy. I really like the 29 Scarab, but then an imbecile mouths off and it is hard to get excited for someone else when another put's down what you have. Mind you the owner of the actual 29 did not post the comment.

Good luck to him and nice boat!

TOTALLY agree on the floats, and afford comment,

If you want to bash someone, bash on me!!!!

1992 Wellcraft 232 eclipse with a single 350(a few modifications), but it is what I can afford right now, I spent all of my money moving from Snow Country to South Florida(it is 70 something degrees, and sunny right now), I am getting it together now, and plan on being in a 24 Pantera, or similar within the next year. At least I am on the water, I will meet ya at the sandbar, I might be a little late, but I WILL be there!!!!

I agree 100% on that. I hate it when people bash other peoples boats. I am happy for anyone who has a boat whatever brand it is.
Oh Man that makes me mad when people do that!!!

Hey rchevell... the same friend who has the 29 Scarab right now had a 24 Pantera before it. He regrets selling it. It had a procharged 454 in it and it was a giant-killer.

BTW - getting to Florida shortly (relocating)

They all regret selling them(unless they replaced it with a 28), thats why I HAVE to have one!!!!! Welcome to FL, we occasionally get over your way, and will do so more often once we get the 24.

I like the p29 with the small blocks real cheap to run and maintain!!!I'd like it even better if it had Bravo's on it. I think it came with Black Hawks didn't it??
