How trailers change the look of a boat.

Sounds nice! I would go for stand up bolsters as well. I just like standing in a boat better than sitting. But I have a surgicaly enhanced spine to deal with as well.
I'm gonna guess more like 24-26" bracket?
Chris, you don't like the lime green?
I may have to come down again this winter for another view of the new Bananas. Maybe drop off some parts different places and pick some up at the same time. That way I might see the water next season!

I'm torn between the stand up bolsters and the buckets. The cockpit area of the 24' is pretty tight so the old-style stand up bolsters are too big in my opinion. I really like the smaller versions like in the new Baja in this month's Hot Boat (pg. 82) - I'm kinda of leaning towards those at this point.
As far as the bracket size - I'm planning on taking the boat by Stainless Marine to ask Brownie for his expert opinion on the size of the bracket. My old boat had a 30" bracket which was a little too big - the 26" for a single would be ideal. For twins I'm not exactly sure but I know Brownie will steer me in the right direction there.
You guys are always welcome to come by Boca for a ride anytime this winter - look forward to seeing you all!!

Brownie is the king and I am a hack.
However, I love Banana Boats and have been kicking the chit out of them for almost 7 years now and I stand by my statement of 17" as a max if your running twins.
Single? Ya you could go more like 26".
As for Bolsters? I have to honestly say that the original stand up bolsters that came with all post 1980 Banana's have something to be desired.
My boat came with them, and I immediatley started looking for replacements as I thought they sucked.
I had a very expensive set made by the Pantera factory interior shop in Miami.
After installing them I was actually bummed out as they took up too much room.
The original bolsters, albeit outdated in style, were tall and narrow which gave the cockpit the appearance of a lot of room, and allowed two positions for pilot and co-pilot.
The Pantera bolsters (modern day design) were hard, stiff and very large. Made the cockpit feel smaller. BUT, they looked kick ass!
I would say if you could design a set of drop out bolsters that look like the ones I had, but were smaller (narrower) and thin like my original ones, then you would have a winning combination.
Sit downs are okay, but with 24' your in that akward (teenage years), if you will of boat length were sit downs on a pedestal are not what the buyers want and the stand up bolsters feel a bit out of place with the low profile.
Like looking at a 28ss Cigarette, in some pics the seats look like they are too tall.
However, if I was to buy another Banana Boat, and I will, I want bolsters!

Here is a pick of my very expensive ones and the purple ones are what I could recommend the new Bananas have for seats.
