It was not dialed in for top end as my 11 yr old likes to go tubing... so I needed the pick up.. check with Charlie as for the preformance he has had it out several times. It is truly a great boat but like I said...it is time for a larger one....

Hi Joe,
Your boat will run 65mph with a V8 Johnson if it is stock.
I would run a 24 pitch chopper, (4 blade).
Adjusting height, shaft length and set back would give you a bit more top end, but you should have trim tabs if you set back and jack. Also, I recommend dual ram hydraulic steering with heavy duty lines.
I ran a 17" hydraulic bracket with a 20" shaft and a 24p chopper.
Powerhead was estimated to be 360hp (4.0 Liter).

Airdog,
Yes, It is a 4.0 and stock.. ...I plan on staying with the LAND&SEA Hydraulic jack plate that the boat came with...I guess I have to wait till that time to run it in order to see what set-up works better...Sounds like a great start and yes, I am going with a dual ram steering and it does already have tabs...
Thanks,
Joe

Well now that hull # 3 is leaving my yard I was feeling like I was left out. So I decided to pull the trigger on this boat. BCV00190678. I have already started on it. Just need to decide on keeping it a sterndrive or going bracket.

Sterndrive......take a look at the nice job that Chad has done with his sterndrive down in Texas.

perhaps twins a pair of 383 strokers might push that boat along. Not sure if I am worthy of a Top Banana clone but perhaps a Gone Bananas clone besides what color is hull # 6 now thought it was black. Perhaps a yellow stripe on there some built sbc's and a yellow 3man bolster.
