Thanks for the kind words everyone - that really means a lot to me as this was a lot of hard work but well worth it. Only you guys can appreciate what's really involved to do something like this. I did this resto for myself - this is my own personal boat. I plan on keeping this boat for obvious sentimental reasons...what's wrong with nostalgia?
I also wanted to show some pics and post some info. for any other banana owners that may be facing rotten bulkheads and bad tanks etc. or want to improve what they have....
And to clarify - just because we are no longer making the 24 sportboat versions doesn't mean we aren't open to any banana owners wanting to "re-deck" their 24's with the smooth 2008 version... Lots of free advice available here.
@pasta - thx. engine room is still a work in progress lol - can't show those yet. and sadly I'm having a high rpm "skipping / mis-fire" issue so the prop testing is on hold for now.

When Don Aronow set me up with the Cigarette molds, he also made sure that I used all the same suppliers that he used for making Cigarettes. One of them was his windshield supplier.
The windshield in question here, was made by American Marine of Ft Lauderdale. Anyone with an old Cigarette can see the same American Marine sticker on any of their windshields.
Eventually Don started making them so low that they had more aluminum in them than they did glass. American Marine threw out all the old patterns about 10 years ago.....we tried to get them for the new boats......so we went with the guy that made the Apache windshields...one classic name to another.
