How many banana's actually raced?

Adam,
Charlie has a good point about the tabs.
When you talk to a racer he/she can tell you how to squeak out a few mph, but I think sometimes you give up stability that only a race driver can live with out.
The first thing you have to learn is that most of the time I am inhaling Jet exhaust or soaking my brain in rum, so what ever I say, do the opposite.
The flat trim tab thing might be like having twins with the props spinning in. Sure it might give you a few mph, but you are definately giving up controllability when docking.
As far as the tabs go, I wouldn't mess around with that bennet thing. Just call Trick Marine and ask for Too Old. He has hooked me up with incredible deals in the past.
Have you clocked your boat yet?

Thanks Chris and Charlie, I agree with charlie's thoughts on the tab mounting. I'll have to give Too Old a call too and see what he can do for me in the spring.
No, I havn't clocked it yet I just got a gps unit so now I will be able to do it in the spring. I don't even have a guess because the pitot is broken on my boat and I didn't want to pull it out of the water just to fix that. So I'll do it before I put it in in the spring.
And by the way those are some nice seats in your boat. and was your steering always mounted on top like that? Mines mounted on the vertical of the dash.

The problem with twin outboards that are not counter rotating is that when the boat jumps a wave, the steering will jerk to one side when it re enters and both props grab at the same time.
Somewhere in the posts you will see a 24 foot black boat called banana man, that was my personal boat for pleasure...it was set up with 2 stock 200's with props both turning the same way...it was not a fun boat to drive in the ocean.
In reality, most of the time you spend in the boat you are well within the cruising range of a single outboard, the only time you gain any advantage from 2 is top speed overall.
I built these boats for enjoyment.....if the top speed is what you want, then go for two, if you can be happy just being out there boating, one will do.

What pictures?
As far as the steering wheel, it came that way. I have never seen another Banana Boat with the wheel on top like that. It is great when you are standing up...
I was going to rebuild and recover my original bolsters, but a guy with a wellcraft scarab really wanted them...???
Your interior looks like it was recently redone...

No problemo.
Throw it on the thread...
Are you around this week? If I can get home from Orlando, then I can swing by on Friday to winterize the boats...
Not sure how much stuff I have left over from last year...Think I may have some fogging oil...
