In Post # 18 it appears the boat has a cigarette logo on it.
is that correct?

I was thinking of doing a cigarette style logo with Banana in the word instead of Cig, unless anyone objects strongly

Um, Heat, I feel that the BANANA GOD has already sent his message with the lack of parts to get it in the water for the cape this weekend! He better move quick!

Re: Banana's year and number

I found #39 this weekend! Lokks like it has never been rigged. Or it has been cmpletely rebuilt one of the two. But the bolsters show alot of fade but no wear of any kind. and not a single noticable reconstruction mark for gauges, transom, controls, steering, nothing. Didn't have my camera on me. Hope its there when I go back to the lake in two weeks.

I have the phone number for it if anyone is interested in it. I haven't called to see what they want for it yet.

I'm still considering #14 for a winter project.

Good investigative work Adam... :D

I would say it was a an outboard version that somebody filled in the motorwell and just never mounted a bracket.

Don't think Banana ever made any boats with out the well from the factory.

The 2nd gas tank gives it away since I don't think you can have the aft tank and an I/O set up.

Hard to tell from the photos with stringer set up it has, but I would guess outboard.

I'll call HeatBuzz and tell him about it.

Air Dog 08-16-2005 09:07 AM

Another scenario would be that it was a factory I/O boat that somebody installed a aft tank into with the intention of a bracket and never went any further.

Scenario 3

Aliens came down and abducted the engine and the owner and he is at the spaceship bar right now with the pilots from flight 19 explaining his Banana plan and we will never know...
