Christmas Card Received!

I'd like to send a Sincere Thanks to Charlie Sr. and Jr. for the nice "envelope" which came in the mail yesterday! Nice folks like youselves are few and far between nowadays. This whole sub-forum is a relection of that. I won't say anymore so as not to ruin the surprise!
Warm Wishes and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Dave

Re: Christmas Cards

Just got home and checked the mail and yes I got my Banana surprise....Thank you very much....It's too bad the 38 Top Banana is to far gone to be redone. That is one of the sharpest looking deep V's I have every seen, and only one ever made what a shame.

Hi Mike,

I don't know how this reply will work, but we'll give it a try. Boat ran great last summer. Didn't make too many "all out" speed runs, but GPS measured about 71 mph as it's batteries were dying and the screen locked up. (I need a 12vdc cable/batt eliminator!). It
was still pulling beyond that somewhere approaching 7300-7500 on the tachs.

I converted to carbs and have two dual ex. temp pyros to make sure we're not running too
lean. The EFI stuff was just too dated and expensive to maintain for now.
I've also changed to the large, single trim cylinder set ups.

There's plenty of dialing in left, and I'd love to be able to shift some weight further aft. That
pesky front fuel tank ain't helping matters! Other than that, I'm going to try to fix some of
the cosmetic stuff for next spring. Stuff like upholstery, gel coat issues, things like that.
Are you looking for another one of these boats? I have a nice clean 21' Scarab with a 225 Merc EFI outboard that's looking for a new home.

Happy Holidays and keep in touch.
Dave
