I was a customer and staunch supporter of Trick Marine. I was the first to post on this board a big congratulations to Fred for his first Trick Marine magazine ad. I purchased my 2003 Pantera through Fred, a new trailer and about $ 1,200.00 in parts in the same day. So I am a little pissed he pulled this!

However, I have yet to meet a more two faced individual in my life. His business ethics were zero, his attitude in working "with" others, even when we represented the same manufacturer was pathetic. His "We'll beat any price" moto was doom for Trick from the begining. He ignored MAP pricing and had a total disregard and no respect for others in the industry.

I guarantee I had many more dealings with Fred than you did and I have just as much interest and right to the truth as you.

He caused alot of issues with advertisers on this board, and I for one am glad that he has been exposed. He was sending emails to potential customers telling them how the "other guys" can't outlast a price war, so he'll just keep lowering his prices...that's easy when you're not paying for your product. So where's he at now? Not too good of a plan now was it?

Remember, I didn't steal from, lie to or abuse the trust of others ...

Actually, my friend would be THE LAST guy you would expect such tactics from.

Here we are many years later. Over time, it became obvious to pretty much everybody that my friend was involved. We talked about it not long ago and he said that even though he blew the money ("probably on something stupid" as he put it) long ago, the lasting affect is that no-one has even tried to screw him since. "Money well-spent" he said.

I can't help but wonder if he'll have to answer for that one day.....................

He was dropped for screwing them out of money, he didn't "change over". You do understand the difference right? He then proceeds to tell everyone that "he" made the change. That was complete BS. But I guess he really couldn't say "I've decided to steal a bunch of product from two of the biggest names in the industry, so I'll be changing venders now"

I trust you are done turning this on me. If you were happy and had good dealings great, then exactly what are you poking around here and jabbing at me for? Hidden agenda?
