Well I guess a deal is not a deal . I payed 400 less than I could have for a brand new all alum trailer and that had alum wheels on it. So it was not such a great deal. Also he should have called me to tell me he was taken the wheels off my trailer and putting crap wheels on it
89 have u been able to get the boat on it yet? springs a coming

its 1 thing if your told upfront that the wheels are getting swapped out . we were never told of this its just not fair . by the way blownincome you know who i am you called me on my 382 fastech work @ rockingham boat we have talked before . this guy had a trailer all lined up thru 1 of our dealers alum i beam w alum wheels for less $ he asked my opinion i told him to get this instead . deal just plain wasent what it was supposed to be . picture this . buy a boat with a 500 hp in it for short money but when you pick it up its got a 502 mpi in it you ask what happend ??? salesman says hey you got a good deal on it so we swapped out the motors . kind of Exaggerated but you get the idea

Sorry to hear about how your friend feels on his Deal. To me, the whole key is the fact that Bill never called the buyer back. Any deal can go bad, it's the follow up that makes a business good. Performance Trailer's reputation should be more valuable than a set of wheels but apparently, that is not the case.

For what it's worth I'll comment here.
I've known "Trailer Billy", as we call him, for a lot of years now. I've had a few of his trailers, one under the Biotch right now. I've also had a bunch of other brands over the years and I'll say his stuff goes down the road with the best of them. I have also sold a bunch of Performance Trailers to customers in my part time boat selling venture, never had an unhappy customer. Something here is out of whack in my mind.
If you felt it was not what you thought the time to speak would have been when you were in the yard at East Coast to pick it up. I know the guys there, my present Fountain and Performance trailer was purchased from them, and I'm sure they have Bill's phone number, he builds a chit load of trailers for them.
I can assure you that Bill is not a disreputable individual, are you sure you understood exactly what the deal was when you bought this for less than the normal price? To compare a custom built steel trailer to a "Flexible Flyer" is simply nuts, those things are built by dozens of half-azzed companys and they are all marginal at best. Ever wonder why they are so cheap?

People like this are never happy..... consider the source.... guy buys a trailer based on a picture taken last year .... sees it in person with chrome wheels instead of the aluminum wheels that were on it in the year old picture.... buys it anyway hoping to jerk the builder around with posting BS about him on the internet.... nice guy....
