People like this are never happy..... consider the source.... guy buys a trailer based on a picture taken last year .... sees it in person with chrome wheels instead of the aluminum wheels that were on it in the year old picture.... buys it anyway hoping to jerk the builder around with posting BS about him on the internet.... nice guy....

Am I a friend of Bill's? I hope he considers me a friend , I certainly do consider him a friend... I've bought trailers from him for over 20 yrs.... raced boats against him 20 yrs before that... He is as stand up a man as you will ever meet... but he obviously won't be, and I wouldn't be either, intimidated by a customer who bought a leftover for half price & then writes BS about me on the internet... How long did you wait for a return call before you started this thread? Oh thats right 2 days... you state that in your opening comments.....
I'm guessing you plan on keeping that trailer longer then 2 days? Maybe you should have shown a little more patience instead of trying to tarnish the reputation of a guy who has spent over 30 years satisfying customers....

If this was a deal with some guy off the street, I would agree with you but, this is supposedly a reputable business. The owner should have returned his call and when he did return the customer's call, he should have given him the option of returning the trailer and getting his money back or swapping the wheels out.

What are you talking about? Are you forgetting that this was a leftover custom built trailer that was built for someone elses boat.... and when it did not fit, for whatever reason, Performance made the guy a new one, delivered it and took this one back at no cost to that customer! Not a reputable business.... that's rediculous! I'm done with this argument... I won't argue with stupidity!

You can call me all the names you want.... I'm not the one that bought the trailer after seeing it with chrome wheels when I expected Aluminum wheels....
Look.... I really hope this guy ends up very happy with his trailer after he's had a chance to use it.... I have been with every performance trailer I ever owned.... You don't think I have my facts straight & I don't believe either you or your friend handled this situation the best possible way....
enough said....
